Hi everyone!

As most of you know, Ray has accepted a 2-year assignment with Toyota's European Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. For those of you who do not know, Belgium is located next to France, Germany and the Netherlands. The home of NATO and the European Union, it is considered the "gateway to Europe" with its easy access to many European countries. (Hint, hint--good excuse to come and visit!)

Ray started his new position in February, 2008. The girls and I arrived here in late March. We are living just outside the city of Brussels in the commune of Tervuren, Belgium.

Although we are sad to temporarily leave our family and friends, we are excited for this adventure. What an opportunity to leave our tiny box and experience life outside of America!

Halloween, Part 2

Alice, Aurora, & Mama Cat...

Recently, after half-term break, DS' 1st grade class celebrated Halloween at school. I, along with a few other moms, helped to put this party together.

PS & Mommy made the marshmallow krispy pumpkins & pizza mummies...

The kids enjoyed a day filled with Halloween Stories in their school library, then returned to their class for a buffet of treats followed by a Halloween craft and trick-or-treating in a few of the staff offices at school.

Since PS' half-term break was a week after ISB's, PS got lucky and was able to join in on the festivities!

Happy Halloween from Belgium!!

The girls had a FAB time celebrating Halloween when they went trick-or-treating a few nights ago with our good friends...

If you recall last year's Halloween, this annual trick-or-treating event encompassed two separate neighborhoods in the Overijse area where trick-or-treater's were given a route map of the houses participating. Lucky for us, the weather was considerably warmer this year making it a perfect evening for a pleasant night-time stroll!

Then, just last night, I had a ghoulish time at a FAB Halloween party hosted by the Daenen's! We had loads of fun playing pictionary, charades, and danced the night away. And Tori's "witches brew", was wicked, too!

Happy Halloween from Belgium!!
