Hi everyone!

As most of you know, Ray has accepted a 2-year assignment with Toyota's European Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. For those of you who do not know, Belgium is located next to France, Germany and the Netherlands. The home of NATO and the European Union, it is considered the "gateway to Europe" with its easy access to many European countries. (Hint, hint--good excuse to come and visit!)

Ray started his new position in February, 2008. The girls and I arrived here in late March. We are living just outside the city of Brussels in the commune of Tervuren, Belgium.

Although we are sad to temporarily leave our family and friends, we are excited for this adventure. What an opportunity to leave our tiny box and experience life outside of America!

Next stop -- Patmos, Greece. June 30, 2009

Today's Greek word of the day: Opa, which means an explanation of joy, like "whoopee" or "hurray!"

Early the next morning, our ship arrived into Patmos, the northernmost island of the Dodecanese group (close to coast of Turkey in the Aegean Sea).

Interestingly, Patmos is where John the Apostle (the author of the Book of Revelations) received and recorded his vision from Jesus. We spent a leisurely morning in this quiet port town, where we walked through town and browsed through several shops to purchase souvenirs.

DN, DS & PS playing with Greek Isle cat...

We then strolled to a beach where the children enjoyed playing in the water and feeding the fish.

We headed back to the ship around 10am where DS & PS enjoyed having their faces painted in the kid's club while the rest of us relaxed in one of the air-conditioned lounges.

After lunch, we napped while awaiting our next port of call: Kusadasi, Turkey...
